§ 21-13-102 — (c) The governing body which appointed the member of the board of trustees may remove that member of the board of trustees for cause without a public hearing unless the trustee requests that the action be taken during a public hearing

Vacancies on the board of trustees shall be filled by the governing body for the balance of the unexpired term created by the vacancy.
