Text
The exercise of the powers granted by this act constitutes the
performance of an essential governmental function. The authority
shall not be required to pay any taxes levied by any
municipality or political subdivision of the state, other than
assessments for local improvements, upon its projects, property
or monies. The authority shall not be required to pay state
taxes of any kind. Except for estate taxes the authority's
projects, property and monies and any bonds issued under this
act and the income therefrom, shall be free from taxation of
every kind by the state, municipalities and political
subdivisions of the state.
