Text
Any person who shall knowingly have or use about his premises,
or who shall convey or cause to be conveyed into any
neighborhood, any clothing, bedding or other substance used by,
or in taking care of, any person afflicted with the smallpox or
other infectious or contagious disease, or infected thereby, or
shall do any other act with intent to, or necessarily tending to
the spread of such disease, into any neighborhood or locality,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof before any court of competent jurisdiction shall be
fined in any sum not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00),
or imprisoned in the county jail not exceeding six (6) months,
or by both fine and imprisonment; and the court trying any such
offender may also include in any judgment rendered, a
