Text
(a)Each county attorney and their deputies shall receive
such fees, salary or both as allowed by the board of county
commissioners. When counties have consolidated the office of
county and prosecuting attorney pursuant to W.S. 18-3-301(b) the
salary of county and prosecuting attorneys shall be apportioned
between the counties by agreement of the boards of county
commissioners, but a county which has consolidated may
independently employ a deputy county and prosecuting attorney.
The boards of county commissioners of each county which have
consolidated shall meet once every four (4) years to set such
salaries.
(b)The board of county commissioners, or boards of county
commissioners when counties have consolidated pursuant to W.S.
18-3-301(b), may prohibit county and prosecuting attorneys or
