Text
A candidate for the unexpired term of the office of
representative in congress may seek election only as a candidate
of the political party in which he was registered on the date
the vacancy occurred. A candidate for the unexpired term of
office of representative in congress who was not registered with
a party on the date the vacancy occurred may run only as an
independent.
