(a)All county officers, except county attorneys, before assuming the duties of their office and within twenty (20) days after the commencement of the term for which they were elected or appointed, shall take, subscribe and file the oath of office, and execute and file their official bonds to the state of Wyoming to insure the honest and faithful performance of their duties, in the penal amounts specified and according to the following provisions:

(i)County assessor: a bond approved by the board of county commissioners of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) with a sufficient surety who is a resident of the county or of a responsible surety company;

(ii)Repealed by Laws 1981, Sp. Sess., ch. 22, § 2.

(iii)County clerk: a bond filed with the county treasurer of not less than one hun

clerk of the district court of ten thousand dollars
($10,000.00);
(v) County sheriff: a bond approved by the board of
county commissioners of one hundred thousand dollars
($100,000.00) with sufficient surety;
(vi) County surveyor: a bond of ten thousand dollars
($10,000.00) with sufficient surety;
(vii) County treasurer: a bond in an amount
prescribed by the board of county commissioners and filed in the
office of the county clerk with an approved corporate surety
company or at least three (3) sufficient sureties. If for any
reason the bond has not been approved by the board of county
commissioners, the bond may be approved by the county clerk, but
final approval must be given by the board of county
commissioners at their next regular meeting. If the board of
county commissioners has not prescribed the amount of the bond
it shall be not less than the total amount of taxes levied for
the year;
(viii) County coroner: a bond as specified in W.S.
