Text
When cross demands exist between persons under circumstances
that if one brought an action against the other, a counterclaim
or setoff could be set up, neither can be deprived of the
benefit thereof by assignment by the other, or by his death, but
the two (2) demands will be deemed compensated so far as they
equal each other.
