§ 32A-2-3 — Exemptions

West Virginia·Ch. 32A LAND SALES; FALSE ADVERTISING; ISSUANCE AND SALE OF CHECKS, DRAFTS, MONEY ORDERS, ETC·Art. 2 CHECKS AND MONEY ORDER SALES, MONEY TRANSMISSION SERVICES, TRANSPORTATION AND CURRENCY EXCHANGE
(a)The following are exempt from the provisions of this article:
(1)Banks, trust companies, foreign bank agencies, credit unions, savings banks, and savings and loan associations authorized to do business in the state and which qualify as federally insured depository institutions, whether organized under the laws of this state, any other state, or the United States;
(2)The United States and any department or agency of the United States;
(3)The United States Postal Service;
(4)This state and any political subdivision of this state;
(5)The provision of electronic transfer of government benefits for any federal, state, or county governmental agency as defined in Federal Reserve Board Regulation E, by a contractor for and on behalf of the United States or any department, agency, or
