229.843 229.843(1) (1) Except as provided under s. 229.844 (4) (c) , a district’s jurisdiction shall be the boundaries of the sponsoring city. 229.843(2) (2) A district’s jurisdiction and powers remain in effect even if the sponsoring city, after the creation of the district, is no longer a populous city.
