229.54(1) (1) Neither the state, a sponsoring municipality, nor the most populous county in which the sponsoring municipality is located is responsible for equipping, maintaining, operating, improving, and repairing sports and entertainment arena facilities.
229.54(2) (2) The district is responsible only for equipping, maintaining, operating, improving, and repairing sports and entertainment arena facilities during the initial development and construction of the sports and entertainment arena facilities. If the professional basketball team or its affiliate breaches the non-relocation agreement or lease under s. 229.461 , the district is responsible for equipping, maintaining, operating, and repairing sports and entertainment arena facilities during the remainder of the lease, but on
