Text
(a)A person who knowingly discloses confidential adoption information or identifying information in violation of this title shall be fined not more than $1,000.00.
(b)In addition to the penalties provided in subsection (a) of this section, a person who is the subject of information contained in a record made confidential by this title may file an action for damages or equitable relief against any person who obtains unauthorized information or who discloses unauthorized information, or is likely to do so.
