Text

After notice and hearing, the Governor may remove a member of the State Board for incompetency, failure to discharge the member’s duties, malfeasance, illegal acts, or other cause inimical to the welfare of the public schools; and in case of such removal, the appointing authority that made the initial appointment shall appoint a person to fill the unexpired term. (Added 1969, No. 298 (Adj. Sess.), § 13; amended 2025, No. 73, § 26, eff. July 1, 2025.)
