§ 7001 — Conviction by court having jurisdiction
Vermont·Title 13 Title 13: Crimes and Criminal Procedure·Ch. 221 Chapter 221: Judgment, Sentence, and Execution
A person shall not be punished for an offense unless he or she is convicted thereof in a court having jurisdiction of the cause and the person.
