Text
(a)If an officer seizes alcoholic beverages or alcohol and takes possession of a vehicle, air or water craft, or other conveyance, he or she shall promptly make a complaint under oath or affirmation to a judge of the Criminal Division of the Superior Court in the jurisdiction where the seizure occurred.
(b)The same proceedings shall be had with respect to the alcoholic beverages or alcohol and the vehicle, air or water craft, or other conveyances, except that if the vehicle, air or water craft, or other conveyance is adjudged forfeited and condemned, it shall, upon the written order of the court, be sold at a public sheriff’s sale for the benefit of the State.
