Text

(a)The General Assembly shall approve each year a Medicaid budget. The annual Medicaid budget shall include an annual financial plan, and a five-year financial plan accounting for expenditures and revenues relating to Medicaid and any other health care assistance program administered by the Agency of Human Services.
(b)The Secretary of Human Services or his or her designee and the Commissioner of Finance and Management shall provide quarterly to the Joint Fiscal Committee such information and analysis as the Committee reasonably determines is necessary to assist the General Assembly in the preparation of the Medicaid budget.
