§ 5002 — Report of vital statistics; preservation of records; authority to issue

Vermont·Title 18 Title 18: Health·Ch. 101 Chapter 101: Vital Records Generally
The State Registrar shall prepare an annual vital statistics report summarizing reports or returns of births, marriages, deaths, fetal deaths, divorces, annulments, and dissolutions received in the prior calendar year. The State Registrar shall periodically transmit original returns of marriages, divorces, annulments, and dissolutions to the State Archivist, who shall keep the returns on file for use by the public. The State Registrar and the State Archivist shall each, independently of the other, have power to issue certified copies of vital event certificates in their custody. (Amended 1959, No. 329 (Adj.
