Text

(1)The office shall:
(1)(a) administer the money contained in the grant program; and
(1)(b) select qualified recipients in accordance with Subsection (2).
(2)The office may distribute the money from the grant program to or on behalf of a private landowner:
(2)(a) that applies to the office, in a manner prescribed by the office, to receive funding or technical assistance through the grant program; and
(2)(b) by direct payment to the landowner or a third party for work related to identifying and protecting archaeological resources on the landowner's property, if the private landowner or third party contributes an amount of money or in-kind work equal to or greater than the amount of money received from the grant program.
