§ 9-22-104 — STEM Action Center Board -- Duties.

(1)The STEM board shall:
(1)(a) establish a STEM Action Center to:
(1)(a)(i) coordinate STEM activities in the state among the following stakeholders:
(1)(a)(i)(A) the State Board of Education;
(1)(a)(i)(B) school districts and charter schools;
(1)(a)(i)(C) the Utah Board of Higher Education;
(1)(a)(i)(D) institutions of higher education;
(1)(a)(i)(E) parents of home-schooled students;
(1)(a)(i)(F) other state agencies; and
(1)(a)(i)(G) business and industry representatives;
(1)(a)(ii) align public education STEM activities with higher education STEM activities; and
(1)(a)(iii) create and coordinate best practices among public education and higher education;
(1)(b) with the advice and consent of the Senate, appoint a director to oversee the administration of the STEM Action Center;
