Text

(1)There is created within the division the Utah Martin Luther King, Jr. Human Rights Commission.
(2)(2)(a) The human rights commission shall consist of 13 members appointed by the governor to two-year terms.
(2)(b) Notwithstanding the requirements of Subsection (2)(a), the governor shall at the time of appointment adjust the length of terms to ensure that the terms of human rights commission members are staggered so that approximately half of the human rights commission is appointed every two years.
(3)The governor shall appoint one of the members as chair of the human rights commission.
(4)The human rights commission shall meet at least quarterly.
