§ 76-9-1804 — Unlawful failure to remove injurious substance while removing a vehicle.

(1)Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-9-1801 apply to this section.
(2)An actor commits unlawful failure to remove injurious substance while removing a vehicle if the actor:
(2)(a) removes a wrecked or damaged vehicle from a park, recreation area, or other public or private land; and
(2)(b) fails to remove glass or other injurious substance dropped from the vehicle in the park, recreation area, or other private or public land.
(3)(3)(a) A violation of Subsection (2) is a class C misdemeanor and subject to a minimum fine of $100 for each violation.
(3)(b) The court may require the actor to participate in at least four hours of cleaning up:
(3)(b)(i) the glass or other injurious substance dropped from the vehicle; and
(3)(b)(ii) existing litter from a safe area designated by the
