Text
(1)Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-9-1201 apply to this section.
(2)An actor commits unlawful obstruction of watergates if the actor:
(2)(a) rafts or floats logs, timber, or wood down any river or stream; and
(2)(b) allows the logs, timber, or wood described in Subsection (2)(a) to accumulate at or obstruct the watergates owned by a person or irrigation company taking or diverting the water of the river or stream for irrigation or manufacturing purposes.
(3)A violation of Subsection (2) is subject to the penalty provisions in Section 73-2-27.
