Text

(1)Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5 and 76-8-101 apply to this section.
(2)An actor commits tampering with an official notice or proclamation if the actor intentionally defaces, obliterates, tears down, or destroys:
(2)(a) a copy, transcript, or extract from or of a law of the United States or of this state; or
(2)(b) a proclamation, advertisement, or notice, set up in this state by authority of a law of the United States or of this state, or by order of a court or of a public officer, before the expiration of the time for which the proclamation, advertisement, or notice was to remain set up.
(3)A violation of Subsection (2) is an infraction.
