Text
(1)Terms defined in Section 76-1-101.5 apply to this section.
(2)An actor commits unlawful influence of a contest if the actor:
(2)(a) with a purpose to influence any participant or prospective participant not to give the participant's or prospective participant's best efforts in a publicly exhibited contest, confers or offers or agrees to confer any benefit upon or threatens any injury to a participant or prospective participant;
(2)(b) with a purpose to influence an official in a publicly exhibited contest to perform the official's duties improperly, confers or offers or agrees to confer any benefit upon or threatens any injury to such official;
(2)(c) with a purpose to influence the outcome of a publicly exhibited contest, tampers with any person, animal, or thing contrary to the rul
