Text
(1)Terms defined in Sections 76-1-101.5, 76-11-101, and 76-11-201 apply to this section.
(2)An actor is guilty of parent or guardian knowing a minor is in possession of a dangerous weapon if:
(2)(a) the actor knows a minor is in possession of a dangerous weapon in violation of Section 76-11-211, Possession of a dangerous weapon by a minor;
(2)(b) the minor is the actor's biological or adopted child or the actor is the legal guardian of the minor; and
(2)(c) the actor fails to make reasonable efforts to remove the dangerous weapon from the minor's possession.
(3)A violation of Subsection (2) is a class B misdemeanor.
