Text
(1)Depository institutions shall be closed to the general public on Sundays.
(2)(2)(a) The commissioner may designate any additional or different day on which depository institutions are closed to the general public, such as in the event of:
(2)(a)(i) an emergency;
(2)(a)(ii) disaster;
(2)(a)(iii) flood;
(2)(a)(iv) earthquake;
(2)(a)(v) fire;
(2)(a)(vi) power outage;
(2)(a)(vii) heavy snow;
(2)(a)(viii) other impediment to:
(2)(a)(viii)(A) business; or
(2)(a)(viii)(B) the safety of customers and employees; or
(2)(a)(ix) any circumstance in which closing on an additional or different day serves the public interest.
(2)(b) The commissioner may designate a day under Subsection (2)(a) as applying to all or any portion of the state.
