§ 7-1-503 — Regulation of sale by financial institution of its securities -- Solicitation of deposit accounts restricted -- Violations.

(1)As used in this section, "security" has the same meaning as in Section 61-1-13, except that "security" does not include:
(1)(a) a certificate of deposit or similar instrument issued by:
(1)(a)(i) a bank;
(1)(a)(ii) a savings and loan association;
(1)(a)(iii) a credit union; or
(1)(a)(iv) an industrial bank;
(1)(b) a loan participation, letter of credit, or other form of indebtedness incurred in the ordinary course of business by:
(1)(b)(i) a bank;
(1)(b)(ii) a savings and loan association;
(1)(b)(iii) a credit union; or
(1)(b)(iv) an industrial bank; or
(1)(c) (1)(c)(i) a promissory note or other evidence of indebtedness and the underlying security for it;
(1)(c)(ii) a lease of personal property;
(1)(c)(iii) a contract to sell real or personal property; or
(1)(c)(iv) any other loan or
