(1)(1)(a) The office shall immediately notify the claimant in writing of a reparations award and shall forward to the Division of Finance a certified copy of the reparations award and a warrant request for the amount of the reparations award.
(1)(b) The Division of Finance shall pay the claimant the amount submitted to the division, out of the fund.
(1)(c) If money in the fund is temporarily depleted, the office shall place claimants approved to receive a reparations award on a waiting list and provide the reparations awards as funds are available in the order in which the reparations awards are approved.
(2)The reparations officer may suspend the proceedings pending disposition of a criminal prosecution that is commenced or is imminent.
