Text

(1)The executive director of the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice shall appoint a director to carry out the provisions of this part.
(2)The director shall:
(2)(a) be an experienced administrator with a background in at least one of the following fields:
(2)(a)(i) social work;
(2)(a)(ii) psychology;
(2)(a)(iii) criminal justice;
(2)(a)(iv) law; or
(2)(a)(v) another field related to the fields described in Subsections (2)(a)(i) through (iv);
(2)(b) demonstrate an understanding of the needs of crime victims and of services to victims; and
(2)(c) devote the director's time and capacity to the director's duties.
(3)In addition to the requirements under Subsection (2), the director shall:
(3)(a) hire staff, including reparations and assistance officers, as necessary;
