Text
(1)The commission shall:
(1)(a) review the contributions of Utahns of diverse ethnicities in the state;
(1)(b) advise the governor, state agencies, and the Legislature regarding issues that impact Utahns of diverse ethnicities;
(1)(c) make recommendations for recognizing the contributions of Utahns of diverse ethnicities in the state, including:
(1)(c)(i) policy recommendations to the governor; and
(1)(c)(ii) recommendations for legislation to the Legislature;
(1)(d) review proposed core standards incorporating ethnic studies the state board submits as described in Section 53E-4-204.1; and
(1)(e) make recommendations to the state board for incorporating ethnic studies into core standards.
