Utah Code Ann. § 53E-10-703 (2026).

Text

(1)The ULEAD director shall:
(1)(a) (1)(a)(i) hold a doctorate degree in education or an equivalent degree; and
(1)(a)(ii) have demonstrated experience in research and dissemination of best practices in education; and
(1)(b) (1)(b)(i) be a full-time employee;
(1)(b)(ii) report to the state superintendent; and
(1)(b)(iii) provide a report to the selection committee, at least twice per year, on the status of the ULEAD program.
(2)The state superintendent shall:
(2)(a) evaluate the director's performance annually;
(2)(b) report on the director's performance to the selection committee; and
(2)(c) provide space for the director and the director's staff.
(3)The director may:
(3)(a) hire staff, using only money specifically appropriated to ULEAD; and
(3)(b) with approval from the superintenden
