Text

(1)A local health department shall have a board of health with at least three members.
(1)(a) (1)(a)(i) Board members shall be appointed pursuant to county ordinance or interlocal agreement by the counties creating the local health department.
(1)(a)(ii) The board may include representatives from the municipalities included within the area served by the local health department.
(1)(b) The board shall be nonpartisan.
(1)(c) An employee of the local health department may not be a board member.
(2)(2)(a) As possible, of the initial board:
(2)(a)(i) 1/3 shall serve a term of one year;
(2)(a)(ii) 1/3 shall serve a term of two years; and
(2)(a)(iii) 1/3 shall serve a term of three years.
