Text

(1)The office of the lieutenant governor shall maintain the official county boundaries for the counties of the state and update those boundaries upon the lieutenant governor's issuance, under Section 67-1a-6.5, of an applicable certificate, as defined in that section.
(2)(2)(a) If a county surveyor determines the true location of a county boundary under Section 17-61-102, the lieutenant governor shall receive the notice and map showing the true location of the county boundary.
(2)(b) Nothing in Section 17-61-102 gives a county surveyor or any other individual the authority to modify official records maintained by the office of the lieutenant governor.
