§ 15A-3-901 — General provisions.

Utah·Title 15A State Construction and Fire Codes Act·Ch. 15A-3 Statewide Amendments Incorporated as Part of State Construction Code·Part 15A-3-9 Installation and Safety Requirements for Mobile Homes Built Before June 15, 1976

Mobile homes built before June 15, 1976, that are subject to relocation, building alteration, remodeling, or rehabilitation shall comply with the following:

(1)Related to exits and egress windows:
(1)(a) Egress windows. The home has at least one egress window in each bedroom, or a window that meets the minimum specifications of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Manufactured Homes Construction and Safety Standards (MHCSS) program as set forth in 24 C.F.R. Parts 3280 and 3282, MHCSS 3280.106 and 3280.404 for manufactured homes. These standards require the window to be at least 22 inches in the horizontal or vertical position in its least dimension and at least five square feet in area.
