§ 15A-1-208 — Standards for specialized buildings.

Utah·Title 15A State Construction and Fire Codes Act·Ch. 15A-1 General Chapter·Part 15A-1-2 State Construction Code Administration Act

(1)This chapter may not be implied to repeal or otherwise affect the authority granted to a state agency to make or administer standards for specialized buildings, as provided in:

(1)(a) Title 26B, Chapter 2, Part 1, Human Services Programs and Facilities;

(1)(b) Title 26B, Chapter 2, Part 2, Health Care Facility Licensing and Inspection;

(1)(c) Title 26B, Chapter 2, Part 4, Child Care Licensing;

(1)(d) Title 64, Chapter 13, Department of Corrections - State Prison; or

(1)(e) another statute that grants a state agency authority to make or administer other special standards.

(2)If a special standard conflicts with a code, the special standard prevails.

(3)This chapter does not apply to the administration of the statutes described in Subsection (1).
