§ 11-65-203 — Policies and objectives of the lake authority -- Additional duties of the lake authority.

(1)The policies and objectives of the lake authority are to:
(1)(a) protect and improve:
(1)(a)(i) the quality of Utah Lake's water, consistent with the Clean Water Act, 33 U.S.C. Sec. 1251 et seq., and Title 19, Chapter 5, Water Quality Act;
(1)(a)(ii) the beneficial and public trust uses of Utah Lake;
(1)(a)(iii) Utah Lake's environmental quality; and
(1)(a)(iv) the quality of Utah Lake's lakebed and sediments;
(1)(b) enhance the recreational opportunities afforded by Utah Lake;
(1)(c) enhance long-term economic benefits to the area, the region, and the state;
(1)(d) respect and maintain sensitivity to the unique natural environment of areas in and around the lake authority boundary;
(1)(e) improve air quality and minimize resource use;
(1)(f) comply with existing land use and other agr
