Text
(1)The elective and statutory officers of municipalities shall receive the compensation for their services that the governing body fixes by ordinance adopting compensation or compensation schedules enacted after public hearing.
(2)(2)(a) As used in this Subsection (2):
(2)(a)(i) "Compensation" means:
(2)(a)(i)(A) salary, including salary paid under a contract;
(2)(a)(i)(B) a budgeted bonus or budgeted incentive pay;
(2)(a)(i)(C) a vehicle allowance; and
(2)(a)(i)(D) deferred salary.
(2)(a)(ii) "Compensation increase" means an increase in any item of compensation listed in Subsection (2)(a)(i).
(2)(a)(iii) "Executive municipal officer" means:
(2)(a)(iii)(A) the city or town manager or chief administrative officer;
(2)(a)(iii)(B) the assistant city or town manager or assistant city or town
