Sec. 457.052. BOARD OF AUTHORITY.

(a)The board of an authority consists of seven members. A member of the board serves without compensation but is entitled to reimbursement for expenses incurred in board service. The board shall elect one of its members as presiding officer. The members are appointed as follows:
(1)two members by the county commissioners court;
(2)four members by the governing body of the principal municipality; and
(3)one member by the governing bodies of all municipalities that adopt the resolution described by Section 457.051 .
(b)A member of the board serves at the pleasure of the appointing entity.
(c)The board shall administer and operate the authority.
