Sec. 3985.0205. INITIAL DIRECTORS.
(a)On or after the effective date of the Act enacting this chapter, the owner or owners of a majority of the assessed value of the real property in the district, together with the city, may submit a petition to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requesting that the commission appoint as initial directors five persons named in the petition. The commission shall appoint as initial directors the persons named in the petition.
(b)Initial directors serve until the earlier of:
(1)for each director serving in a position for which the directors are elected, the date the permanent directors are elected under Section 3985.0201 or June 1, 2023; and
(2)for each director serving in a position for which the directors are appointed under Section 3985.0201
