Sec. 3884.051. GOVERNING BODY; TERMS.
(a)The district is governed by a board of nine directors composed of:
(1)six directors appointed by the governing body of the city under Subsections (b) and (c);
(2)one assistant city manager of the city, appointed by the city manager;
(3)the chief financial officer of the city; and
(4)the economic director of the city.
(b)Before the term of each director expires as provided by Subsection (d), the owner or owners of a majority of the appraised value of the real property in the district, or the majority of the record owners of real property in the district subject to taxation, may submit a petition to the governing body of the city requesting that the governing body appoint as successor directors the persons named in the petition.
