Sec. 1082.054. QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.

(a)To be eligible to be a candidate for or to serve as a director, a person must be:
(1)a resident of the district; and
(2)a qualified voter.
(b)A person who is elected from a single-member district or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a single-member district must reside in that single-member district.
(c)A district employee may not serve as a director.
