Sec. 1070.066. LIABILITY INSURANCE; INDEMNIFICATION.

(a)The board may defend or indemnify an officer, director, board appointee, medical staff member, or district employee against or from a claim, expense, or liability arising from duties performed in that capacity, including a duty performed at a district facility.
(b)The board may purchase and maintain liability insurance coverage or establish a self-insurance program to fund an indemnity obligation under this section. SUBCHAPTER C. POWERS AND DUTIES
