Sec. 1070.052. PETITION TO CHANGE METHOD FOR SELECTING DIRECTORS; ELECTION.

(a)The Commissioners Court of Hansford County shall order an election on the question of electing directors if the court receives a petition requesting that action signed by at least 250 registered district voters who own taxable property in the district as of the date the petition is presented to the court. The election shall be held within 90 days of the date the petition is presented and notice of the election is given as provided by Section 1251.003 , Government Code.
(b)The order calling the election must:
(1)specify the date of the election, the location of the polling places, and the presiding judge and alternate judge for each voting place; and
(2)provide for clerks as in a county election.
