Sec. 1045.253. ELECTION TO INCREASE MAXIMUM TAX RATE.
(a)The board may order an election to increase the district's maximum ad valorem tax rate to a rate of not more than 75 cents on each $100 valuation of the taxable property in the district. The board shall order an election if the board receives a petition requesting an election that is signed by at least 50 qualified voters of the district.
(b)The ballot for the election shall be printed to permit voting for or against the proposition: "The imposition of annual taxes by the district for hospital purposes at a rate not to exceed _____ (insert amount not to exceed 75 cents) cents on the $100 valuation of all taxable property in the district."
