Sec. 504.161. CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD INFORMATION.

(a)The department may obtain criminal history record information as provided by Section 411.1105 , Government Code, and consider that information in determining a person's license, registration, or certification status under this chapter.
(b)The department may charge a person on whom criminal history record information is sought a fee in an amount set by the executive commissioner by rule as reasonably necessary to cover the costs of administering this section. A fee collected under this subsection may be appropriated only to the department to administer this section. SUBCHAPTER E. LICENSE EXPIRATION AND RENEWAL
