Sec. 325.017. PERSONNEL.

(a)The board or the general manager at the direction of the board shall employ persons necessary for the proper handling of district business and operation and may employ or contract with expert and specialized personnel who are necessary to carry out this chapter.
(b)The board shall determine the terms of employment and the compensation to be paid to employees under this section.
(c)The board shall require each employee or person under contract to the district who collects, pays, or handles any funds of the district to furnish a bond, payable to the district, for an amount sufficient to protect the district from financial loss resulting from actions of the employee or another person.
