Sec. 321.023. OATH; BOND.

(a)Within 15 days after the date a park commissioner is appointed, the commissioner must qualify by taking the official oath and by filing a good and sufficient bond with the county clerk.
(b)The bond must be:
(1)payable to the order of the county judge;
(2)approved by the commissioners court;
(3)in an amount prescribed by the commissioners court of $5,000 or more; and
(4)conditioned that the commissioner will faithfully perform the duties of park commissioner, including the proper handling of money that comes into the hands of the commissioner in the commissioner's capacity as park commissioner.
(c)The board shall pay the cost of the bond.
