Sec. 6002.052. ADOPTION OF RULES; STANDARDS.

(a)In adopting necessary rules, the commissioner may use:
(1)recognized standards, such as, but not limited to:
(A)standards of the National Fire Protection Association;
(B)standards recognized by federal law or regulation; or
(C)standards published by a nationally recognized standards-making organization;
(2)the National Electrical Code; or
(3)information provided by individual manufacturers.
(b)Under rules adopted under Section 6002.051 , the department may create specialized licenses or registration certificates for an organization or individual engaged in the business of planning, certifying, leasing, selling, servicing, installing, monitoring, or maintaining fire alarm or fire detection devices or systems.
