Sec. 1501.106. CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF COVERAGE PROHIBITED.

(a)A small or large employer health benefit plan may not limit or exclude, by use of a rider or amendment applicable to a specific individual, coverage by type of illness, treatment, medical condition, or accident.
(b)This section does not preclude a small or large employer health benefit plan from limiting or excluding coverage for a preexisting condition in accordance with Section 1501.102 .
