Sec. 1451.053. PRACTITIONER DESIGNATION.
(a)An accident and health insurance policy may not make a benefit contingent on treatment or examination by one or more particular health care practitioners listed in Section 1451.001 unless the policy contains a provision that designates the practitioners whom the insurer will and will not recognize.
(b)The insurer may include the provision anywhere in the policy or in an endorsement attached to the policy.
