Sec. 1201.011. COVERAGE FOR PREMIUM PERIOD WITH LIMITATIONS BY AGE OR DATE; MISSTATEMENT OF AGE OF INSURED.

(a)Regardless of a provision in an individual accident and health insurance policy that specifies a date, by age limitation or otherwise, after which coverage under the policy is not effective, coverage continues in force, subject to any right of cancellation, until the end of the period for which the insurer accepts a premium if:
(1)the insurer accepts the premium after the specified date; or
(2)the specified date falls before the end of the period for which the insurer accepts the premium.
(b)Notwithstanding Subsection (a), if the age of the insured is misstated and, because of the insured's correct age, coverage of the insured would not have become effective or would have term
